Our story
Thirty years in kitchens
I B Interiors is Ian Brice.
Ian left school into a three-year apprenticeship at Oakleaf Interiors, a bespoke kitchen and bedroom maker, and stayed six years learning both sides of the trade: making in the workshop and fitting in people's homes. From there he worked across the kitchen industry, designing and selling at Howdens, then with Morris Leisure Distributors, the company behind Caple, and later for a property developer. Sixteen years ago he went out on his own, and has been self-employed since.
That range is the point. Ian has designed kitchens, made them, sold them and fitted them, so he knows where a project goes wrong before it does. I B Interiors takes on a limited number of jobs at a time, and the emphasis is on the quality of the finish, not the speed of the turnaround.

How we work with suppliers
The right kitchen, from the right place
We work with a range of kitchen suppliers, from established mid-market brands to bespoke and high-end makers, and we'll recommend the one that fits your room and your budget. Where a project calls for bespoke cabinetry or one-off pieces, we make them ourselves: carcassing and the structural parts of the furniture are built in the workshop, and doors come from trusted specialists who make to our specification in any style, material or finish. Traditional joinery where it matters, specialist manufacture where it's better, and one person accountable for the finished result.
If you've already bought a kitchen, we fit it too. We'll review the plans and specification first, then quote for the installation.
Materials
The right material for the job, named honestly
Every project is specified openly, by use and budget: solid wood where it earns its place, engineered boards where they perform better, and we'll always tell you which is which.

Quartz worktops are fabricated by Marmabello in Winford. Corian comes from Elise Projects in Keynsham, or we fabricate it ourselves; Ian is trained in Corian fabrication. Templating and fitting are coordinated by us so the whole kitchen lands as one piece.
A note on cost
Every project is priced from its own drawings, but as a guide most of the kitchens we design, build and install fall between £XX,000 and £XX,000 including installation, excluding appliances and worktops. We'll give you an honest indication at the first conversation, before anyone has spent a day drawing.
How it works
What happens after you get in touch
Most projects are ready to install within four to eight weeks of sign-off, depending on size, specification, materials and any specialist components. Once the design is agreed we'll give you a date for your project.
A conversation
A fifteen-minute call or a home visit: the room, what you'd like, roughly what you'd like to spend.
Survey & design
A measured survey, then layouts, elevations and samples, refined with you alongside a detailed itemised price.
Sign-off & order
Final drawings signed, deposit paid, materials ordered, install dates fixed in the diary.
Build
Bespoke cabinetry is made in the workshop and supplier kitchens are checked and prepared before they reach you. We don't run workshop visits, but we'll keep you posted on progress.
Install & handover
We fit, scribe and finish on site, coordinate worktops and appliances, and hand over a room ready to live in.
Common questions
Do you only make kitchens?
No. Kitchens are most of the work, but we design, build and fit bedrooms, dressing rooms, media walls, studies, utility rooms and other interior cabinetry.
Where do you work?
Bristol, Bath and South Gloucestershire, with London projects built in Bristol and installed in planned blocks.
Do you work with architects and interior designers?
Yes. We price, detail and build to your drawings, and return setting-out details for sign-off before anything is made.
What materials do you use?
Solid wood, veneers, and painted MDF or MFC, chosen by use and budget and always named honestly. Finishes are hand-painted, oiled, stained or lacquered. Quartz comes from Marmabello in Winford and Corian from Elise Projects in Keynsham or our own bench, with templating coordinated by us.
Can you fit a kitchen I've already bought?
Yes. Send us the plans and specification, we'll review them and quote for the installation.
How long does it take?
Most projects are ready to install four to eight weeks after sign-off. We'll confirm a timeframe once the design and specification are agreed.
